When art is fashion

From the beginning Meryan intended to restore the tradition and techniques from the 8th century that flourished in Cordova and make the city a referent in leather handicraft.

Due to its durability, ductility and versatility leather have used for many different things and areas.

Our initial focus was furniture design and decoration: tables, tapestries, chests, book covers or desktop items. But for years now we decided to bring together tradition, art and fashion.

First we used embossed leather in three hand bags for women: Bucket bags, backpack bags and already over 3 years ago cluthes. These arte three bags that are still successfully available in our catalogue.

The idea achieved a great success and now we have got different models and versions of wallets, purses and bags not only for women but also for men.

Bucket bag is easy to wear and it has a great capacity. It is a day to day use accessory and durable, closure with laces and magnet button. You can wear it as shoulder bag with self-adjusting leash or as handbag with padded top handle.

You can choose between geometrical patterns as "Tolosa" or "Godo", which are inspired in our hispano-visigoth history, or organicist designs as "Walada", inspired in Medina Azahara decoration. This summer we introduced vivid and bright colours.

The backpack is a classic one... for daily use and high comfort. It is a very youthful design.

Because its belts it can be used flexibly as traditional backpack or as one shoulder bag. It has a closure with laces and magnet button too. The leather pattern is in a vertical strip and it is available in different colours.

The Clutches are our "Top Ten". It is a youthful and fresh but also elegant. This season we redesign this bag, changing some details making it more attractive.

The flap and edges are now softer and more rounded and we included a small handle or grip, so you can wear it in your wrist. But you have also the chance to carry the bag in your shoulder with its long leather and chain handle. The clutches are perfect as accessories for celebrations or night events.
We choosed delicate and more feminine patterns, and we introduced new bright colours for summer nights.
